Privacy Policy

Last Updated: March 2026

We believe privacy is a fundamental human right. Here is exactly how we protect yours.

1. Our Core Philosophy

At udhr.me, we believe that privacy is a fundamental human right, essential for free expression and democratic organizing. Our infrastructure is designed to collect the absolute minimum amount of data required to function. We do not sell data, we do not run ads, and we do not use invasive cross-site tracking scripts.

2. The Website (Read-Only)

This website is primarily a "read-only" static site. We do not require you to create an account to browse our resources, read our documentation, or view our work. We do not use persistent marketing cookies or third-party advertising trackers.

3. Third-Party Infrastructure

To keep this project online, secure, and highly available against censorship, we rely on a few carefully selected third-party providers:

  • GitHub: Our website's source code is hosted on GitHub.
  • Vercel: The site is built and deployed using Vercel. We utilize Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate site traffic (e.g., how many people visit a page). This system is designed for privacy-it does not log individual IP addresses and does not track you across other websites.
  • Google Forms: Our current contact form is embedded using Google Forms. If you choose to submit information through this form, that specific submission is processed by Google's infrastructure and is subject to their privacy policies. For highly sensitive communications, we recommend bypassing the form and emailing us directly via a secure provider.

4. Communications & Data Retention

If you contact us via email (hello@udhr.me) or apply for one of our secure aliases, we only retain the correspondence necessary to assist you or manage your request. We routinely purge old communications. We will never share your contact information or identity with outside organizations, law enforcement, or corporate entities without a legally binding, heavily scrutinized mandate.

5. External Links

Our Resource Directory contains links to external tools, platforms, and documentation (e.g., Signal, Tor, Proton). Once you leave udhr.me to visit these sites, our privacy policy no longer applies. We highly recommend reviewing the privacy practices of those specific tools before relying on them for your operational security.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to request the deletion of any correspondence you have had with our team. If you wish to be removed from our systems, simply email us from the address you used to contact us, and we will securely wipe your data.

If you have any questions or concerns about this policy, please reach out securely.
